GitTub: UW Shower Finder
A playful full-stack web app that helps University of Waterloo students locate the nearest shower on campus. Users can navigate to showers, track their shower frequency, earn badges for habits (or lack thereof), and connect socially to share stats with friends. Built mainly with TypeScript for the frontend and supported by a lightweight Python backend, the project demonstrates mapping, gamification, and social integration features. The project even includes a shell script command (git tub) that directs the user to the website, carrying the user's account information and shower status. Unfortunately, the website is down due to hosting costs.
Imagine you are in the library for 10 hours straight and finally finished the last bit with a nice git push. Isn't it tempting to run git tub and get a shower?
